Media Center Catalog - CHECK OUT THE NEW CATALOG!!! You can find book sets, subject tubs, audio books, and educational videos.
Worldbook Online - Check out the research libraries, primary source data available at a touch in the areas of American history and political science.
Digital Pipeline - Facts on File and Ebsco Magazine Subscriptions from the state.
WorldCat - Find a book in all libraries. Then email your librarian to request the book.
Alaskan Newspapers - Juneau Empire, Anchorage Daily News, and Fairbanks Daily News Miner are all fulltext and searchable for current and past issues.
Database Collection - Collections of information on all different topics.
Battle of the Books - Students read 12-15 books and test their knowledge in competition with other students in the district and the state of Alaska. Use the link for more information.
Reading is Fundamental - We give books away to students five times a year. Schools provide a reading promotional activity on the distribution days. Check out this link for ideas of what you can do.
Young Readers Choice - Students read different books throughout the year and vote on their favorite in March. The winning book receives an award.
Success For All - The reading program for the BSSD. We have Targetted Treasure Hunts and book sets to check out to help your students reading improvement.
Frontpage Newspapers - "Today's Front Pages" is an online presentation of one of the Newseum's most popular exhibits. Every morning, more than 300 newspapers from around the world submit their front pages to the Newseum via the Internet.
PBS.org - This Web site, provided by the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), is home to more than 1,000 television show companion sites in addition to Web-original sites. PBS Online hosts interactive content for everyone - including kids, parents..
Library of Congress - I cannot reccommend a resource more for primary source documents than the Library of Congress.
Citation Machine - Citation Machine is an interactive Web tool designed to assist teachers in modeling the proper use of information property.
